Since the end of 2024, 4MATT has the honor of supporting the Porto Institute, a Social Organization that carries out transformative work through education. We recently had the opportunity to visit one of the most impactful initiatives of this institute: the Ação Educa Project.
Ação Educa serves 200 children and adolescents, aged 6 to 17, after school hours, providing activities focused on education and citizenship. The basis of this project are the four pillars of education established by UNESCO: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be. This approach promotes not only academic learning, but also the human and social development of the young people served.
Our visit was represented by Antonio Cançado and Luana Soares, who were able to witness first-hand the team's dedication and the real impact of this social project, which will complete 20 years of operation in 2025. It is inspiring to see how education and care can transform lives and build a more promising future for so many children and adolescents.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the collaborators of the Porto Institute who welcomed us with such warmth and shared their stories and experiences. A special thanks to Luiz Phelipe Silva Santos, who accompanied us during the visit, and to Janiffer Rocha Santos and Mirian Mesquita, who play a fundamental role in this mission.
We continue together on this journey of social impact, strengthening education as an essential pillar for the transformation of society! Below are some records of this special moment in our journey!
