The organization faced limitations in accurately identifying, mapping and monitoring its IT assets. To this end, it began a project with 4Matt aimed at structuring ITOM Discovery, SAM and strengthening the CMDB. The goal was to obtain a realistic, reliable and automated view of the infrastructure and software, connecting strategic areas and reducing risks.
The company had a heterogeneous structure of assets and software, with no reliable traceability and low integration between IT platforms. In addition, there was a large volume of unmapped or outdated assets.
The project focused on:
Implement ITOM for continuous asset discovery.
Organize the CMDB with governance and reliability.
Consolidate SAM for license control and compliance.

The main challenge was to consolidate information from different sources and deal with duplicate or inconsistent data. 4MATT worked with automation, correlation between CIs and structuring the CMDB to reflect the real IT environment.

15 thousand ICs automatically monitored via ITOM.
The team customized executive and operational dashboards with real-time indicators and connected external software sources to enrich SAM’s vision. Integration between modules strengthened the CMDB foundation as a central pillar.
The combination of ITOM, CMDB and SAM provides not only technical control, but also executive visibility into risks, waste and optimization opportunities. The project reinforced the strategic role of IT for the business.
