Among the main countries with development and growth in the sector are:

  1. United States: US$$974.2 billion, representing 48.6% of the world's share
  2. United Kingdom: US$109.6 billion, with a 5.71 billion TP3T global share
  3. Germany: US$103.3 billion, with a 5.21 billion TP3T global share
  4. China: US$101.7 billion, with a 4.81 billion TP3T global share
  5. Japan: US$1.4T89.1 billion, with a 4.4T3T global share

Brazil in the software scene

The global software and services market reached a value of US$1.5 billion in 2024. Brazil remained in 11th place in the global ranking, with a domestic market of approximately US$1.5 billion. The data indicate that the country remains consolidated as one of the leading global markets for software and IT services. In terms of IT market distribution, Brazil stands out as the largest in Latin America, representing US$351.5 billion.

According to ABES, Brazil maintains its leading position in the region and ranks among the 10 largest global markets for software and IT services. The study shows significant investments have been directed toward software and services, demonstrating the market's maturity and the search for solutions that accelerate digital transformation.

The national market stands out with ten states having the highest investment in Software at US$1.4 billion:

Investment Priorities

The country's investment priorities remain aligned with global trends:

  1. Cloud Computing: driving scalability and operational efficiency.

  2. Artificial Intelligence (AI): increasingly applied in process automation, data analysis and strategic decision support.

  3. Cybersecurity: increased demand for robust solutions in the face of the advance of digital attacks.

  4. Big Data: extracting value from large volumes of data, with high speed and a wide variety of data

  5. Internet of Things (IoT): automated connectivity, functioning as initial accelerators of innovation in four pillars (Big
    Data, Cloud, Social and Mobility).

Exports and internationalization

Another relevant finding from the study is the expansion of Brazilian software and services exports, which exceeded US$1.4 billion in 2024. This movement reinforces the innovation capacity of national companies and their competitiveness against international players.

Trends for 2025 and beyond

The report also points out that the coming years will be marked by:

  1. Hybrid environments as standard

    Cloud and Data Centers are consolidated as the dominant model and the demand for ESG metrics and practices is growing FinOps with AI.

  2. Expanding IT infrastructure and AI at the center

    Around 90% of large companies already use AI, and the trend is set to increase. To accommodate the digital expansion, companies need to better organize and optimize their IT infrastructure.

  3. Security in hybrid environments

    THE digital security is a relevant topic when considering strategy and data sharing. Brazil's digital security market is estimated to be worth US$1.4 billion by 2025.

  4. Data Center Networks Accelerated by Generative AI

  6. New generation ERP

    The focus is now on the use of AI integrated with a focus on ESG. Data indicates that ERP spending in Brazil will reach US$4.9 billion in 2025 (+111 billion in 3Q). Furthermore, almost 301 billion in the market will already be SaaS ERP.

  7. Telecommunications redefined

    The trend is toward the advancement of 5G, network slicing, APIs, and autonomous networks. Therefore, Telcos need to migrate from connectivity to digital platforms. Therefore, the growth of monetization via NaaS and API bundles is gaining momentum.

  8. Expansion of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellites
